La totalité du conseil restait à pourvoir, soit 15 sièges. À l'issue de ce second tour à Écharcon, on trouve Sebastien Pétré en tête avec 42,85 % des voix. Il avait, lors du premier tour, gagné 38,40 % des votes. Emilie Aury, Julien Barthet, Patrick Bellanger, Céline Da Balinha Lopes Epouse Alves, Sandra Hafez Épouse Dos Santos, Vivianne Jouet, Philippe Melot, Yasmina Melot, Gérard Rassier et Marc Voisin terminent deuxièmes de cette élection, avec 42,59 % des scrutins. Marie-Helene Brejoux (42,32 %), Patrick Pires (42,32 %), Raphael Cossard (42,06 %) et Arthur Giacomasso (42,06 %) pourront aussi siéger au conseil.
57,62 % des électeurs se sont rendus aux bureaux de vote à Écharcon en ce jour d'élections. Ce taux a légèrement baissé comparé au précédent vote (de 1,39 point). La participation était de 59,01 % lors du scrutin du 15 mars 2020.
Pour rappel, en pleine crise sanitaire, le gouvernement a décidé de déplacer le second tour des municipales du 22 mars au 28 juin 2020.

Écharcon est un village d'Île-de-France, plus précisément de l'Essonne. Outre celle-ci, la Communauté de Communes du Val d'Essonne CCVE s'organise notamment autour des communes de Nainville-les-Roches, La Ferté-Alais ou également Fontenay-le-Vicomte. D'après les statistiques, les hommes et femmes ayant entre 45 et 59 ans (27 %) sont bien représentés dans cette commune. Il y a toutefois peu de personnes très âgées (5 %).
7,29 % des résidents est sans activité. On peut comparer ce chiffre à la moyenne nationale qui atteint 10,1 % (chiffres de 2016). Sur 549 habitants enregistrés en âge de travailler (âgés de 15 à 64 ans), 386 sont actifs.
